Through my schooling at Washtenaw Community College I met a lot of truly talented and amazing people, but Rachel is one of the best. Every year she does a 3 day, 300 mile bike ride to help raise money for the Make-a-Wish Foundation. For those of you who don't know who what the charity does, you can visit http://www.wish.org/, but in short they grant wishes for terminally ill children; whether that be being a police officer or going to Disney World or whatever the child desires. I'm always trying to make a difference in the world even if it only effects one person. I can't change the world, but I can change someone's world. Graduation season is upon us all and I love it! I can honestly say it's one of my favorite times of the year. I love designing open house invitations, each graduate is so different and I strive to make each invite reflect that person's personality. Here's just a sample of one that I've done recently.

They Say the Rain is a Blessing

Remember the bridal shower I photographed a couple weeks ago...well yesterday was that wonderful couple's wedding and despite the scattered showers, one of the most amazing weddings I've had the priviledge of shooting. Bailey and AJ were more than willing to perform the various circus acts I asked of them, resulting in some pretty stunning images. Not to mention they were so calm and collected all day, definitely makes for a very smooth running wedding machine :)

Sandy Puc' Family Tour 2010

Yesterday was a very eventful day for me. A fellow photographer and I went to Sandy Puc' Family Tour in Grand Rapids. I gained SO much knowledge I can't even begin to tell all of you. All I can say is to expect big things out of Natty J Photography this year in the way of family portraiture. Last year I attended the Tots 2 Teens Tour and did a record number of infant and children portraits, but I'm always trying to broaden my horizons and families will be on this years agenda!!

Also, I will be developing a new business along with J. Lynn Imagery strictly for our fundraising events. Rather than explaining to every person that walks in who is Natty J Photography and who is J. Lynn Imagery, we will be one. Now all we need is a name, feel free to input your opinion on this!!

EMU's Exposure 2010 - CooLHeadS

I was asked by the owner of CooLHeadS to come photograph their runway debut at Exposure 2010 held on Eastern Michigan University's campus in the Quirk Theater. I have a feeling that they are going to be HUGE, just wait! They received the loudest applause and won the Most Innovative Design. Congrats to the CooLHeadS team and good luck in your future ventures.
