Last night was open studio and I had to play catch up with some assignments for my Studio Portraits class and this is what I ended up with. I definitely have to say that I am quite pleased with the outcome...

2010 Buster Calendar

I have been working on this project all year long and I'm happy to have it finally coming together. I posted ads for applicants to be fur models for the calendar. The requirements obviously being a pit bull (or pit mix) and being rescued. I had a HUGE response with over 45 applicants so I had a hard time narrowing it down, but I finally did. Then throughout the year I met with each of the models and their human counterparts to do a photo shoot for the calendar, next I designed their page.

Now it's coming to an end and the calendars are officially on sale!!! They will be shipping in late October, just in time for Christmas. Mantis Pet Supply in Ypsilanti and Arbor Dog Daycare in Ann Arbor will also be carrying them in their stores. Halloween Pet Pictures @ Mantis

Natty J Photography together with J. Lynn Imagery are doing Halloween pet pictures hosted by Mantis Pet Supply in Ypsilanti, MI. There will be costumes if your furry best friend doesn't have one already. And if they don't like to get in the Halloween spirit there's no need to worry, there will be plenty of pumpkins on the set!!

And the best part about this event is that the proceeds are donated to the Buster Foundation, a pit bull rescue located in Belleville, MI!!! So stop on by and bring your dogs, cats, ferrets or whatever your loved ones are to get some adorable pictures for the spooky holiday.

Through the Looking Glass

I got to work with the incredibly talented Taryn, owner of Tough Love MPD. She's so amazing and creative. She recreated Alice in Wonderland in her father's backyard and went all high fashion with it. Taryn designed all the clothing and did the models hair/make-up. Let me tell you this lady can multi-task!!

Emy & Josh 9-12-09

What a day! The weather was gorgeous and so was all the details. I couldn't get enough pictures of Emy's ring. She had just gotten it back from the jewelers and it sparkled like it was brand new. Here's a sneek peak at their wedding...
